MY TRIP TO LONDON
This past week I have been in London, filming a series of special episodes that will be released over the next few weeks. The first in this episode was released on Friday (June 11th) so if you have not had chance to see that yet, I highly recommend that you do so. In it I share some of my favourite places to shop and visit in London.
On the first day of our London trip we headed to The Goring Hotel - one of the most exclusive and luxurious hotels in the city, perhaps most famous as a place loved by the Royal Family - The Duchess of Cambridge stayed here the night before her wedding to Prince William and it is where we first caught a glimpse of her as she left the hotel and stepped into the waiting car.
We were very kindly given access to the very room she stayed and will be sharing a tour of the suite in the coming weeks. We were served the most delicious Champagne Afternoon Tea in the Suite.
The next day we filmed some of my favourite places to shop and visit when in town. Fortnum & Mason, Hatchard's Bookstore, as well as some more less-known boutiques like Fiona Finds - an appointment only interiors store in Chelsea.
I first met Fiona through Instagram and fell in love with her beautiful things. It was so exciting to meet her in person in the showroom for a private tour.
Next, it was a visit to one of my favourite gardens, Chelsea Physic Garden. It was so wonderful to enjoy the sunshine and relax for a little - you would never know it was in the middle of the busy city.
On the final day of our trip we headed to Belgravia - one of London's smartest areas famed for its white-stuccoed townhouses which look like elegant wedding cakes. There we met with Stewart Parvin, couturier to The Queen, who gave us an exclusive interview and showed us around his boutique. It was so wonderful to meet with him and hear more about his fascinating career.
It has been so nice to catch up and I really hope you will continue to join me every Friday for the latest episode. Once again, if you have not seen the first in the London Series, you can do so by clicking the button below.
